Beanthentic is a mobile app for Lipa coffee farmers that supports Kapeng Barako farm
registration, record keeping, transaction history, and the Geographical Indication (GI) application journey
with IPOPHL. It helps farmers organize farm data and stay updated on GI process requirements.
Beanthentic is built primarily for registered coffee farmers in the Lipa GI community.
Project administrators and IPOPHL partners use a separate admin system to review registrations, send GI
updates, and manage documents. Buyers and visitors can scan a farmer’s QR code to view public profile
details when shared.
GI Updates is the section on Home where you can track IPOPHL GI process progress and read
announcements from administrators. The progress bar reflects how many of the required document groups have
been
published. You can open attached PDFs, send messages to admin, and submit your own contributions when
requested.
No. Beanthentic does not issue GI certificates. The app helps farmers prepare, submit, and
follow the GI application process. Official Geographical Indication registration and certification are handled
by IPOPHL and the proper government process.
After registration, your Account page shows a QR code linked to your farmer profile. Others
can scan it during field visits, inspections, or sales to quickly open your verified farm details. You can
share the QR image or profile link from Account when you choose to — keep your login password private.
Some screens you already opened may load from cache, but most features need an active
connection. Farm registration, GI Updates, document previews, messages, and syncing records require Wi‑Fi or
mobile data. Use a stable connection when submitting forms or uploading photos.
Your account is protected by your login credentials. Farm and personal information is used
only to support registration, traceability, and GI-related features under Philippine data privacy rules. Read
the Privacy Notice in Account Settings, use a strong password, and never share it with anyone.
